Dr. Maureen Asks some important questions of interest to West Village Toronto residents - Chiropractor West Village Toronto Dr. Maureen Asks...

What's the difference between a "good" drug and a "bad" drug?
As a chiropractor, I see the use of many drugs (legal or illegal) as merely symptom treating. Worse, virtually every drug produces unwanted effects. The effects of chiropractic are largely positive effects. If you're a West Village Toronto parent, consider carefully before giving your child a cough medication, cold remedy or pain reliever so this sort of question doesn't arise in the first place.
What's the difference between maintenance, prevention and wellness?
Maintenance chiropractic care is an attempt to keep a dynamic, ever-changing and adapting organism (you) in a static relationship with your environment. Preventive chiropractic care is mostly about early detection. Wellness chiropractic care is an attempt to optimize our health and be all that you were designed to be.

Your First Visit at Essence of Life, Wellness Care

Chiropractic Care For Results

You will be warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. Help is on its way!

Our practice members often remark how peaceful and inviting our office is. We have designed our office to be welcoming and warm. You'll find plenty of convenient parking and a well-lit parking lot across the street at the Green P. You’ll be greeted by name when you enter our office and given a short tour to get you acquainted with our facilities.

If you’ve already completed your New Practice Member History, great! If not, after doing so you'll meet Dr. Maureen Borghoff for your consultation and examination.

We Explain Everything First

The purpose of your consultation with the doctor is to discuss your health goals and see if chiropractic is likely to help you. If it looks promising, a thorough examination will help identify the cause of your problem. Dr. Maureen may determine upon doing the chiropractic, neurological and orthopedic examination that a set of full spine pictures are necessary before your next visit. Dr. Tami (our office manager who is, herself, also a chiropractor) will assist you in setting this up and will schedule your Report of Findings for a convenient time.

Please set aside 60 minutes for your time in the office for your first visit.

Patients appreciate that we explain everything in advance!
